Professor Nichols asked me to share this link with folks. Her description here:
“It’s by Michael Chabon (some of the class members may know & enjoy his work as much as I do)–an article in the latest New York Review of Books about how lyrics have influenced his writing, how poetry crosses over (or doesn’t) into novel-writing. It’s fun to read & a little bit challenging (it references music of the 80s and before), but it’s a terrific example of creative nonfiction written in the service of thinking about writing.”
Sounds like a good piece for our group.
